Robert A. Torres, Esq.
I retired from the Nassau County Police Department after 25 years of service, retiring at the rank of Inspector. In addition, I have served as a New York City and New York State Paramedic for over 30 years. Also, I am a Life Member (inactive) of the Bay Shore Brightwaters Volunteer Rescue Ambulance Corps.
After my retirement from the Police Department, I attended Touro Law and graduated with Summa Cum Laude Honors in 2020. My desire to attend law school originated from my experience with the sudden passing of my father in 2014 and the subsequent loss of my mother in 2016. During those trying times, I was introduced to an elder law attorney who, through his excellent skills and tremendous kindness and empathy, was able to make an excruciating experience as palatable as possible. He inspired me to the "pay it forward" and pursue a law degree so that I too could help families who found themselves in similar situations.
